On the southern shore of Lake Garda, Peschiera is a fortress town surrounded by water: its mighty pentagonal walls, built by the Republic of Venice in the 16th century, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Venetian Works of Defence.

Stroll along the ramparts, the canals and the little harbour, then enjoy the lakeside promenade. Nearby you’ll find Gardaland and the moraine hills with their wineries: a day on Italy’s largest lake, back at Casa Fiorindo in time for the evening.
