Concordia Sagittaria stands on the remains of Iulia Concordia, a Roman colony founded on the Via Annia and the Via Postumia. The archaeological trail, around and beneath Santo Stefano Cathedral, reveals the foundations of the early Christian basilica and its mosaic floors.

Beside the cathedral is the Romanesque baptistery, one of the most interesting in the Veneto. A short and atmospheric visit that combines well with Portogruaro and the National Museum of Concordia, where many of the finds are on display.
