Portogruaro
~35 min by car or train from Casa Fiorindo
Portogruaro is a small gem of eastern Veneto that began life as a river port on the Lemene. You explore the old town beneath long arcades lined with Gothic and Renaissance palazzi; by the river, the mills and the little Madonna della Pescheria oratory make up one of the most photographed views in the Veneto.
The National Museum of Concordia holds finds from the nearby Roman colony of Iulia Concordia. Portogruaro is also easy to reach by train from Meolo station and pairs perfectly with Concordia Sagittaria and Caorle.
