At the foot of Monte Grappa, Possagno is the birthplace of Antonio Canova, the great Neoclassical sculptor. The Gypsotheca Museum holds the original plaster models of his most famous works, displayed in a 19th-century hall and in the light-filled wing designed by Carlo Scarpa, a masterpiece of museum architecture.

Next to the museum you can visit the artist’s birthplace, while on the hillside rises the Canova Temple, conceived and designed by Canova himself, with views stretching across the plain. It pairs perfectly with Asolo and Bassano del Grappa.
