Set on the Brenta river at the foot of Monte Grappa, Bassano is famous for its wooden Old Bridge, designed by Andrea Palladio and known as the ‘Ponte degli Alpini’. At the end of the bridge stands one of Italy’s oldest grappa houses, and in town you can visit museums and shops devoted to grappa.

The old town, with its arcaded squares and frescoed palazzi, is made for unhurried wandering. A few kilometres away, Nove keeps alive a long tradition of artistic ceramics, while Asolo and Possagno round off a perfect itinerary of art and hills.
